Training of Trainers programme on HIV/AIDS, 3-6 November, 07, Nepalgunj
Monday 12th of November 2007 [ ??????, ??????? २६, २०६४ ]

With the support of CCA HIV/AIDS programme, NCCN organized a Training of Trainers programme on HIV/AIDS in Nepalgunj from 3-6 November 2007. A local NGO based in Nepalgunj, Rescue Nepal, hosted the programme at local level.  Consultant for CCA HIV/AIDS program, Fr. Philip Kuruvilla facilitated the training programme.

About 40 Christian women leaders from mid-west and far-west region of Nepal participated in the programme. The participants actively took part in discussions through out the programme. All the participants have made commitment to bring the learning into action in their respective areas and Churches.

Many people from mid-west and far-west region of Nepal go to India for work and during their stay in Indian cities some of them come to the contact of HIV virus and return to Nepal. This has been the main factor for the spreading of HIV/AIDS in western part of Nepal.

This training will certainly play an important role to combat  the spreading of HIV/AIDS in this region.
